Press Release on Osceola School District Selecting e-Builder

newsOsceola School District Selects e-Builder to Improve Capital Project Delivery

Florida School District Standardizes Project Information Management and Construction Processes with e-Builder Software to Reduce Costs

Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) – December 21st, 2009 - e-Builder, the leading provider of integrated capital program and project management software, announced today that the School District of Osceola County, Florida, the Nation’s 77th largest school district in the U.S. with over 55,000 students, has selected e-Builder Enterprise 7 to reduce costs and improve delivery of its ongoing capital improvement plan. The Osceola School District will utilize the e-Builder Project Management Solution to manage project costs, schedules, and construction administration processes across a number of capital projects ranging in value from $15K to $50 million, all part of their 5-year Capital Plan.

The School District conducted an in depth solicitation process where they reviewed web-based project management solutions proposed by some of the top project management software solution system providers on the market. “Most important to us was the functionality of the solutions proposed. e-Builder stood out way ahead of all the other programs; e-Builder had all of the features and functionality that you would want in a system”, said Dan Olson, Construction Systems Analyst at the School District.

The School District’s Facilities Division intends to eliminate many Access databases and spreadsheet tracking systems, consolidate project cost data, and standardize a broad set of processes using e-Builder’s business process automation platform. The e-Builder Solution includes advanced reporting capabilities that will provide visibility into project status to various stakeholders at both the Facilities Division level and executive level (e.g., project managers and School Board). The School District also expects a significant reduction in printing costs through the use of the web-based software.

Along with the system’s integrated business process automation module, e-Builder’s reporting engine will also reduce the amount of paper work generated and the time required to distribute project information, giving stakeholders faster access to data that will help their decision making process. “We see e-Builder as a valuable tool that the project managers and District Leadership will be able to use. I see a lot of spreadsheets and the Access database systems going away. Reporting accuracy will be greatly improved” added Olson.
