e-Builder to Sponsor Seminar on Collaborative Program Management at South Florida CMAA Chapter Meeting
Ft. Lauderdale, FL – June 21, 2007 – e-Builder, a provider of web-based capital project management software, will host the next meeting of the South Florida Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) July 19th, 2007. The meeting will feature a discussion on Collaborative Program Management Technologies and Process Change, and will be held at e-Builder’s training facility in Plantation, Florida from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A networking reception will precede the seminar, with leading South Florida CM firms and capital project owners in attendance.
The focus of the topic emerging technologies in the field of program and project management, and how these tools are being deployed by capital project owners to improve project delivery. Insights will include the effect of capital program management systems on CM services and profitability.
The last few years have seen owners taking more responsibility to improve their processes by leveraging innovative technology. Owners and CM firms alike have found digital collaborative project management tools and online documentation a way to enhance communication and effectiveness, increase quality, and decrease project costs.
CMAA is leading the growth and acceptance of construction management as a professional discipline that can add significant value to the entire construction process, from conception to ongoing operation. Later this year, the CMAA will issue its annual Owner’s Survey in collaboration with FMI Management Consultants. This year’s survey will focus on the role of technology in addressing bottlenecks in capital projects and this seminar will provide an overview of some items covered in the survey.
