In 1996 e-Builder and the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) made history when they managed the first construction project ever via the Internet.

At that time, most businesses hadn't even heard of the Internet, let alone online document, workflow, and project management.

The WSSC played an instrumental role in the development of today's e-Builder system, currently in its seventh generation. "Many of the features you see in e-Builder are the result of input from WSSC Project Manager Kathy McGinnis and me" said Tim Barr, Chief Information Officer at WSSC. "And the result is a better product, long term - that's why we use e-Builder"
